Takedown / notice-and-action
How to notify us about material on this site, and what we do when we receive a notice.
What this site is
LLM Torrents (llmtorrents.com) is an open catalog and a torrent distribution layer for openly-licensed model weights. Listings are curated by a single operator, and every listing carries its upstream license and a link to its provenance so you can trace where the weights came from.
Where to send a notice
The designated contact for takedown requests is the site operator, reachable at [email protected]. We accept notices under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512) and under EU notice-and-action requirements (Digital Services Act, Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, Article 16) at this same address.
What to include in a notice
To help us act quickly, please include the following. These elements mirror what the DMCA (§512(c)(3)) and the DSA (Article 16(2)) each ask for, which largely overlap:
- Identification of the copyrighted or otherwise protected work concerned.
- The exact llmtorrents.com URL(s) and/or info-hash(es) of the material at issue.
- Your contact details so we can reach you about the notice.
- A statement of your good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury where applicable, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder and that the information in your notice is accurate.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What we do on receipt
- We acknowledge receipt of your notice.
- We review it promptly, with a target of within five business days.
-
If the notice is valid, we delist the affected model page and stop serving its
.torrent/ magnet link and its manifest, and we cease seeding the material from any infrastructure we operate. - We record removal decisions.
We want to be honest about one limit of BitTorrent: swarms are decentralized. We can stop our own distribution and stop seeding from our infrastructure, but we cannot remove data that is already held by third-party peers we do not control.
Counter-notice
If you believe material was removed by mistake, you may reply at the same address, [email protected], with identification of the removed material, your contact details, and a statement of your good-faith belief that the distribution was lawful. We review counter-notices and may restore the material.
Provenance and repeat-infringement policy
This site lists only openly-licensed weights, each with a provenance link. Models whose origin is unclear are not listed. Where we discover, after listing, that an upstream license has changed, we re-review the listing and delist it where required.
